The invention relates to a device making it possible to profile or to surface stone. It consists of a blade guide housing (1) receiving at least two blades (5) which can be changed by simple action on the hand grip (6) see Figure 1. The mechanism consists of a hand grip (6) (lever) which can be moved rotationally and which, through the use of a cam (21), two jaws (2) and (3), a spring (20) and shims (4) compresses the blades (5) to secure them firmly to the blade guide casing (1). The blades can also be removed simply by a contrary action on the hand grip (6). The device according to the invention is particulary intended for cutting soft, semi hard, agglomerated stone, or similar product. <IMAGE>
