The invention relates to a method and a device for the connection of the screen of a cable with a high impedance at low frequencies and a very low transfer impedance at high frequencies. A connector (50) contains a hollow capacitor (40), the access to the electrodes (41, 43) of which is made without the agency of wires, and which surrounds the internal conductors (62) with the screen (61) connected; electrical contacts are obtained between one (43) of the electrodes of the capacitor (40) and the termination of the screen (61) over its entire perimeter, and between the metal body (51) of the connector (50) and the other electrode (41) of the capacitor over its entire perimeter; the metal body (51) of the connector (50) is itself in contact over its entire perimeter with the casing of the apparatus (21). <IMAGE>
