The invention relates to a process for shoeing a horse, a horseshoe 1 being used which comprises a layer 3 of a thermosetting plastic. The process is characterized in that, in connection with fitting of the horseshoe 1 to a horse's hoof 10, the horseshoe is only shaped to desired conformity with the hoof shape of the horse once the said layer 3 is in unhardened state, after which the horseshoe is hardened for subsequently fitting to the hoof of the horse. The horseshoe 1, which comprises a layer 3 of a thermosetting plastic, is therefore supplied with this layer in unhardened state. The layer 3 of thermosetting plastic is situated on the top side of the horseshoe and the horseshoe expediently has a wearing layer 2 of an elastic material on its bottom side. <IMAGE> |
