PURPOSE:To diminish water hammer phenomena for preventing vibration and noise of pipes by a method wherein two or more shower heads are provided, one of them is a sub-shower head located at the lowest position and directly opened without a control valve, and the other main shower heads are opened or closed through control valves. CONSTITUTION:A water main pipe 1 and a hot-water main pipe 2 are connected to a block valve 4 through a mixing valve 3, and five branch pipes 6 are divided from the hot-water supply pipe 5 downstream the block valve 4. The branch pipes 6a are respectively led into a shower room 8 and connected to main shower heads 9a through control valves 7. The branch pipe 6b is connected to a sub-shower head 9b without a control valve 7, and the sub-shower head 9b among the five shower heads 9 is located at the lowest position. Both mixing valve 3 and block valve 4 can be directly operated from the inside of the shower room, and the control valves 7 receive on-off signals from push buttons on a controller 10 mounted on the wall of the shower room 8. Water hammer sometimes tends to occur while the control valve 7 are being closed, however, as the pressure in the pipes is released to the atmosphere through the sub-shower head 8b, noise and vibration of the pipes are diminished. |
