The present invention relates to a leakproof mortuary trough. It consists of a closed parallelepipedal trough made of a thin combustible material, comprising stiffening elements (9) providing the assembly with a sufficient ridigity to permit the upper horizontal wall (6) to support a coffin without deforming, the said wall comprising an opening (7) which can be closed off and being designed in such a way that the fluids of decomposition issuing from the coffin flow inside the trough through the abovementioned opening. It is intended to collect and treat the fluids of decomposition of bodies after their inhumation, avoiding the risks of external pollution. <IMAGE> |
