PURPOSE:To lower dielectric loss and enhance dielectric constant and insulation resistance by adding manganese oxide or Mn-containing compound oxide to a specific three-component based solid solution ceramic composition formed using each oxide of Pb, Mg, Nb, Ni and Ti as a starting raw material. CONSTITUTION:When a three-component based solid solution ceramic composi tion of Pb(Mg1/3N2/3)O3-Pb(Ni1/3Nb2/3)O3-PbTiO3 is expressed by xPb(Mg1/3Nb2/3) O3-yPb(Ni1/3Nb2/3)O3-zPbTiO3, the ceramic composition consisting essentially of a composition of region encircled by the following points; (0.70, 0.20, 0.10), (0.70, 0.15, 0.15), (0.83, 0.02, 0.15), (0.96, 0.02, 0.02) and (0.78, 0.20, 0.02) is blended with compound oxide containing Mn oxide or Mn as a subsidiary component. |
