PURPOSE:To improve the difinition and color reproducibility of a color print by reducing the contrast range of a continuous gradation scanner so as to meet photographic paper and forming a color sepn. negative by using a photographic film of continuous gradations. CONSTITUTION:The color transparent positive 3 or negative is processed by the continuous gradation scanner 1 and the color sepn. negative 5 is formed on the photographic film (A); thereafter, the film is developed by a continuous gradation processing device 7. The full-color enlarged copy is formed on the photographic paper by a three primary color printing device 9. The contrast range of the scanner 1 is reduced and is used so as to meet the above-mentioned photographic paper. In addition, the photographic film of the continuous gradations is used for the film A. The development is preferably executed at a high speed with the device 7 so as to lower the high optical density. A laser scanner or incandescent lamp scanner is preferably used for the scanner 1. |
