PURPOSE:To simplify the method for mounting a shock absorbing member by applying an ultraviolet-cured synthetic-resin viscous liquid to the edge surface to be brought in contact with the body panel, of an external car trim part and curing said viscous liquid through irradiation of the ultraviolet ray and forming it into a shock absorbing member. CONSTITUTION:A shock absorbing member B for preventing damage is formed on the edge surface to be brought in contact with the body panel T, of an external car trim part A. The shock absorbing member B is formed by an ultraviolet-cured synthetic resin b1, which is of a butadiene deriv. whose principal constituent is, e.g., a photopolymerized acrylmodified polybutadiene. And, said synthetic resin b1 is delivered through the nozzle d1 of a dispenser D in the state of a viscous liquid with a viscosity of 300,000 cPs, being applied to the edge surface of said part A. After that, said part A is sent into an ultraviolet- ray irradiating furnace P to cure the viscous liquid b1, forming it into a shock absorbing member B. Thereby the shock absorbing member B can be mounted with a simple and rapid method. |
