The subject of the present invention is a device forming a leaktight and driving capacity with a staged heat cycle. It consists of the combination of a motorised compressor unit (1) composed of a driving piston (13) and of a compressor piston (11), both being dual-acting, as well as a re-injecting piston (51) rigidly coupled to the driving piston (13), a rod (14) connecting the driving/reinjecting piston to the compressor piston passes longitudinally through a distribution assembly (15, 16, 17) and, by virtue of two adjustable stops (22, 23) actuates an externally-profiled cylindrical driver (17), the said profile being in permanent contact with rollers (18, 19) ensuring the displacement and positioning of the said driver, which actuates a distribution slide valve (16), also cylindrical, and concentric with the driver and the connection rod (14). It is intended mainly for air-conditioning of motor vehicles, allowing continuous cooling of the passenger compartment, particularly when parked. <IMAGE>
