FORMED SURFACE ELECTROCHEMICAL MACHINE

PURPOSE: To move electrodes deeply from a surface to produce a test piece of triangular cross section by providing a mechanism for imparting swing movements to a machining device provided on a carriage. CONSTITUTION: A shaft 19 is started to rotate by the application of a voltage also to a motor 18 to draw a pusher 20 so that an arm 21 coupled to a shaft 12 is moved by the pusher 20. The shaft 1 starts to rotate a machining device with electrodes 5 held attached to the machining device. Further, swing movements are imparted to the electrodes 5 by a swing mechanism 17, and the electrodes 5 start to work on a molded surface 2 and move into the molded surface 2 by a depthδ, with the machining device positioned on a plane extending perpendicular to the molded surface 2. Then the motor 18 is turned off. A voltage is then applied to a motor 14 and a feed screw 15 starts to rotate to move a carriage 13. The carriage 13 thus moves the machining device a preset distance. Thereby the electrodes 5 machine and form a test piece 29 of triangular cross section.
