<p>The invention relates to a knitwear processing method for circular knitting machines, in particular for forming a knitted tubular product, by means of an interrelated arrangement of needles and sinkers, having at least one path along one of its generatrices produced in a zone where one or more needles are missing and where there is a continuous supply of yarn, whereby, in the cylinder zone where the needles are missing, the yarn rests on a surface which is raised with respect to that on which it normally rests during knitting by the needles so as to take up the yarn not gripped by the needles.
