PURPOSE:To clearly detect a fingerprint by switchably interposing an optical filter, which transmits light in a wave length area to excite the coloring matter for preprocessing of a reagent, and an ND filter to remove a part with brightness corresponding to a background image included in a fluorescent image. CONSTITUTION:A fingerprint detector is composed of a lamp light source box 1, detection head 2 and cable part for which an optical fiber 3 and a signal cable 4 are integrated. The reagent is irradiated restrictively only with the light from the light source. An optical filter 14 is provided to transmit the light in the wave length area, which excites the coloring matter for preprocessing the reagent, in the irradiation optical path from the light source, and an ND filter 15 is provided to remove the part with brightness corresponding to the background image included in the fluorescent image. Those filters 14 and 15 can be easily converted only by moving a filter converting switch 16 to right and left and a series of operation can be extremely smoothly executed. Thus, brightness can be made uniform for a whole detected fingerprint picture and the clear fingerprint image can be obtained. |
