The device for stacking sewn articles according to the present invention equips a sewing machine, especially an industrial sewing machine, which includes a sewing head and a work table mounted on a framework. It consists of a reception container 17 whose inclination with respect to the horizontal can be adjusted and which receives the sewn articles to stack them, and a flap 19 capable, under the action of a jack 20 which is fixed onto the flap 19, on the one hand, and on the framework of the machine, of the other hand, of pivoting about a spindle which is placed just behind the presser foot 3 of the machine and which is perpendicular to the direction of advance of the articles during their sewing. <IMAGE>
