The appts. to give an automatic removal, adjustment and exchange of the bobbin housing from the shuttle of a sewing machine, has a pin plate which can move forwards and penetrate between the surfaces of the bobbin housing and the capsule flap of the housing from the pointed side of the flap. When close to the shuttle, the pin plate holder can be moved to bring the pin plate close to the point of the capsule flap, and then be manipulated to draw the bobbin body out of the shuttle. The pin plate is then inserted between the surfaces of the bobbin housing and the capsule flap of the housing. Pref. the pin plate also has a flap limit to stop to prevent the capsule flap form opening too widely. ADVANTAGE - The appts. operates automatically to keep the sewing machine working for long periods.
