Multistation textile machine prepn. - uses program down-load between central and control computers

To prepare a textile machine for working with workstations e.g. automatic spinner or winder, a central computer (19) is connected by a data bus (18) to control computer (17) for the transmission of nominal operating data for the workstations (2) and the complete work program. The control computer (17) determines the working of the workstation (2) w.r.t. working program and nominal operating data delivered by the data bus (18) from the central computer (19). Pref. the central computer (19) has a transmitter and the control computer (17) has a receiver for the data traffic as program- and nominal operating-codes. The control computer (17) has a fixed value memory (30) with a standard loading program to take the data w.r.t. working program, and a working memory (24). The fixed value memory (30) is connected to the working memory, and switches the standard loading program to the stored working program at the end of data transmission. ADVANTAGE - System gives a flexible operation through reduced software maintenance and more rapid response.
