PURPOSE:To increase the capacity, charge-discharge cycle performance, and flexibility of an electrode by supporting lithium or a lithium base alkali metal as an active material in a support containing a specific compound. CONSTITUTION:Lithium or a lithium base alkali metal is supported as an active material in a support comprising 70-99.5wt.% carbonaceous material particles in which an atomic ratio of hydrogen to carbon(H/C) is less than 0.15, a spacing of (002) planes as determined by X-ray wide angle diffraction is 3.37Angstrom or more, and a crystalline size in the direction of C axis is 150Angstrom or less and 0.1-30wt.% styrene thermoplastic elastomer selected from A-B-A type styrene block copolymer (wherein A shows the polymer block of monoalkenyl, aromatic compound, and B shows the polymer block or the modified polymer block of a conjugated diene compound.). The charge-discharge performance and flexibility of an electrode are increased. |
