PURPOSE:To shorten an access time in case of readout, by storing in advance plural pieces of information in a magnetic drum, etc., rotating the drum by a command signal, and also driving its corresponding magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:In each track 111, 112... of a magnetic drum 1 rotated by a motor 2, information is stored in advance, and also readout magnetic heads 51, 52 are placed in accordance with each track 111, 112.... In this state, the motor 2 is rotated through a control part 9 by a signal applied from a command part 10, also information of a selected track is outputted from a loudspeaker 8 by turning on one switches 61, 62..., and subsequently, the rotation is stopped by detecting one rotation of the motor by a microswitch 4. Accordingly, since the drum 1 is always returned to its initial position, the access time responding to a command is shortened and readout is executed at a high speed. |
