The sports racket has a tension frame adjoined by a racket shaft (22) which has a shaft gap (32) which passes through the heart zone of the racket (10). This shaft gap contains at least one elastic mass (34) which adjoins both sides of the faces defining the gap and which acts as an intermediate element between the rod parts (30) of the racket shaft (22).
