An automatic timekeeper performs an individual measurement of performance which, following the measurement recording and HF communications, enables rapid evaluation of results by computerised evaluation of the measurement values and data. The automatic timekeeper eliminates errors and cheating. Each competitor carries a remotely controlled measurement unit with auxiliary functions during a race. The measurement device presents its information in the form of a digital display and/or bar code. USE/ADVANTAGE - For use in accurate, reliable performance recording, e.g. for marathons, triathlons, cross-country or long distance with reduced administration costs and without hindering performance.
