Machine tool precision boring head - has sprung tool support incorporating cooling line

The precision boring head tool support has flexible parallel springs which deflect relative the base and carry the head plug a cooling line in the base and a device to deflect the springs and thus the support radially relative the base. The tool support head part (7)should be arranged between two bosses (1a,1b) the base and the support is adjusted relative the base by an adjuster screw (14) whose one threaded end screws into a tapped hole (16) in one of the two bosses (1b) and which is guided with one head end (17) in a hole in the other boss. The cone part (19) of the screw bears against a corresp. surface (20) on the tool support. The head can be clamped to the bosses etc. USE/ADVANTAGE - Machine tools. Boring head is stiff and stable in operation for max. accuracy in compact cooled design.
