SETTING OF MAXIMAL SPEED MOUNTING ROUTE FOR CHIP

PURPOSE:To obtain a very rapid mounting route by a method wherein the mounting route for many chips of many types is so set as to satisfy both the cycle time condition of a table transfer device which makes a table unit reciprocate and the condition of an XY table which moves a board in the directions of X and Y within the cycle time concerned. CONSTITUTION:Following conditions (a) and (b) must be satisfied to mount many chips P of many types on a board 18 as fast as possible: (a) provided that a time required for moving a table unit 16 on a table 14 by a single pitch is defined as a cycle time of a table transfer device 13; (b) the movement of the board 18 is set within a moving range that the board 18 can be moved as long as possible by an XY table within the cycle time of the transfer device 13. As the mounting route of a chip is set satisfying the conditions (a) and (b) as much as possible, a mounting route through which many chips P of many types can be mounted on the board 18 at a maximal speed can be set.
