Motor-wheel characterized in that the movable part or rotor is arranged about the fixed part or stator and whereon is mounted a rim capable of receiving a conventional tyre or a tread. The motor has two free shaft ends which are used to couple the motor-wheel to the vehicle frame by means of a fork-like part, as well as to introduce the supply cables to the inductive coils through a hole axially drilled in the free shaft ends. The magnetic structure of the motor corresponds to the variable reluctance step-by-step motor of the Vernier type with a single magnetic circuit, being capable of advancing step-by-step continuously (normal running) or discretely for the precise positioning of the vehicle, by supplying sucessively and cyclically the inductive coils.
|
