The end of the endoscope near the patient is movable by actuation at the end of the head piece remote from patient. A working element (1) is installed on the head piece for length movement of an electro-surgical wire loop carrier (2) having a wire loop at the patient end. The carrier has a covered, flexible hose leading the two wires to the loop. The working element has a hand lever (4) joined to a toothed segment (5) that engages a toothed rod (6) joined to the wire loop carrier. The wires leading to the loop are woven together or stranded. The loop is formed into an oblong and angled by about a third of its total length. ADVANTAGE - Wider application, avoiding major surgery.
