PURPOSE:To improve the rising characteristics of excitation currents by connecting resistors having specified values in series with a parallel circuit formed by a first diode and a parallel circuit shaped by a second diode between the excitation winding of a motor and a power supply. CONSTITUTION:Transistors 14, 16 are connected among both ends of the excitation winding 12 of a variable reluctance motor 10 and a power supply as switching elements in the excitation winding 12. The parallel circuit of winding 12 and the transistor 14 is composed of the series connection of a diode 18 and a resistor 19, the parallel circuit of the winding 12 and the transistor 16 is constituted of the series connection of a diode 20 and a resistor 21, and the upper limits of the resistors 19, 21 are determined by the breakdown strength characteristics of the transistors 14, 16 respectively. A timing signal for bringing the motor to a continuity state is added from transistor driver circuits 30, 32. Accordingly, a current waveform made to flow through the excitation winding 12 is approximated extremely to a aimed current pattern, and output torque can be controlled completely at a desired value. |
