<p>PURPOSE: To enable an operator to start selection and start of messages by providing a selection reference to divide messages into groups. CONSTITUTION: On the console side of a computer system, a message transfer reference corresponding to the attribute of a message is selected and is inputted to the computer system. A first visual output resource component on the console side is started, and the visual output component is connected to the message transfer reference. A sequence of messages is supplied from the computer system to each console, and attributes of messages of the message sequence are compared with the message transfer reference. Messages whose attributes conform to the message transfer reference are transferred to the visual component and are displayed. Thus, message traffic is controlled in accordance with display resources which a user himself can control.</p> |
