PURPOSE:To obtain superior ability to decompose malodorous components by allowing a carrier to generate heat, heating a catalyst supported on the carrier and decomposing the malodorous components by oxidation with ozone in the presence of the heated catalyst. CONSTITUTION:When malodorous components are decomposed by oxidation with ozone in the presence of a catalyst supported on the exothermic base material 5 of a carrier 1, the carrier 1 is allowed to generate heat, the catalyst is heated and the malodorous components are decomposed by oxidation in the presence of the heated catalyst. Superior ability to decompose and remove the malodorous components is obtd. and unreacted ozone remains hardly. |
