<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the deformation of a pinch roller and the elongation of a magnetic tape caused by press-bonding by providing a means for detecting the runaway of a system controller and a means for releasing the pinch roller from a capstan. CONSTITUTION:A runaway detection circuit 14 which monitors whether or not the system control circuit 4 normally acts is provided. It is assumed that the runaway of the system control circuit 4 occurs when a previously fixed signal, for example, a clock signal is not outputted, and the system control circuit 4 is made in an initial state at such a time. At the same time, the runaway detection circuit 14 supplies a detection signal to a reverse rotation driving circuit 15. When the circuit 15 receives the signal, it allows a pinch roller control and driving circuit 13 to perform a reverse rotating action so as to make the pinch roller 11 separate from the capstan 9. Thus, the deformation of the pinch roller and the elongation of the magnetic tape caused by the press-bonding are prevented.</p> |
