PURPOSE: To improve service at a crowded story, assign at least one cage to the crowded story in a good manner in accordance with such estimation and improve processing ability by using artificial intelligence technology to estimate crowd formation at traffic levels and various stories. CONSTITUTION: A group controller 17 includes information for the number of passengers getting on a cage, the number of hall calling stops, the number of passengers getting out of the cage, and the number of hall calling stops operated at stories in UP and DOWN directions. Signals for measuring and collecting passenger traffic data in a building are supplied in short intervals of about few minutes. A time when the number of passengers waiting at a certain story in a certain direction forms a crowd including a number of passengers as a function of data before a specified hall calling to be assigned is given is predicted to assign at least one cage in accordance with the crowd estimated to be in tendency toward exceeding a preset limitation. |
