PURPOSE:To constitute a tape cassette which has removed a difference between the surfaces A and B, by controlling a running path of a tape by only capstans inserted through plural capstan through-holes respectively, and tape running guide means. CONSTITUTION:Tape running guide means 27', 28' vertically provided on a device are inserted through capstan through-holes 24, 26 of a cassette, the cassette is positioned, and simultaneously a running path of a tape is controlled. Running of the tape is controlled by the tape running guide means 28' in the upper flow side of a recording and reproducing head 31, and is controlled by a capstan 29 in the lower flow side. That is to say, a winding angle of the tape to the recording and reproducing head 31 is decided by only the tape running guide means 28', the recording and reproducing head 31 and the capstan 29, which are members of the device side. Accordingly, the tape is capable of running with high accuracy, and a difference of the surface A and B is scarcely generated. The figures shows a center capstan system, but even in case of using a side capstan system, the tape can run with high accuracy in all the same way. |
