<p>The combination lock has a number of adjusting rings fitted on a shaft. These rings being rotated independently and each ring can be coupled to a sleeve. An axial slide is provided with a number of lugs for contacting the sleeves and for displacing the lock into its locking or release position. The combination lock set to a given combination cannot be disturbed by inadvertent or playful rotating of the rings, so that its combination is always known to the user. The openings of the sleeves (20) are formed in circular flanges and the lugs (76) can be pushed on these openings for correctly adjusted combination with the aligned arrangement of the flat regions (34) in the axial direction. These circular flanges and the flat areas form stops against a rotation of these sleeves.</p> |
