PURPOSE:To accomplish great improvement of the dyeability of the title hard-to- dyeing fiber by immersing a wholly aromatic polyamide fiber in a solvent for said fiber followed by squeezing, wrapping the fiber with a PVC sheet and then keeping it at lower temperatures. CONSTITUTION:A wholly aromatic polyamide fiber is immersed in a solvent for said fiber such as N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone or its >=75wt.% aqueous solution followed by squeezing to a squeezing rate of 30-200%. The resultant fiber is wrapped with a PVC sheet and put to such a pretreatment as to keep it at 10-40 deg.C for 5-48hr, thus accomplishing great improvement of the dyeability of extremely hard-to-dyeing wholly aromatic polyamide fiber. |
