PURPOSE:To eliminate a print clearance generated between a block and a block on a printed surface by making the size and form of a heating element at the end of a heating element block or a heating element located several elements away from the block end different from those of the rest of heating elements. CONSTITUTION:A pair of electrodes 11f are connected to both ends of a heating body 11e, and 4m pieces of heating element are divided into four blocks 11a to 11d, each consisting of m pieces of the element. In addition, these blocks are driven by m pieces of the element in the order of 11a, 11b, 11c and 11d. The block of m pieces of heating element has the first element and the m th element which are shorter than the second to m-1 th elements in length l. Thus no print clearance occurs between the blocks. |
