<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a failure, caused by deterioration of insulation, by detecting acoustic waves, generated by discharge of an electric equipment, with an AE sensor provided in the front surface of a metal partition. CONSTITUTION:In a low tension chamber 1b of a box unit 1, a narrow-band piezoelectric sensor, which serves as an AE sensor 10, mounted to the central part in the front surface lower end of a front surface plate 1cl in a disconnector chamber 1c in the upper part back surface, and a lead wire 11 of the sensor 10 is connected to an analytic processor from the lower bottom surface of the low tension chamber 1b. Since acoustic waves by partial discharge, generated between a charge part of a disconnector 3 and its front surface plate 1cl, directly reach the AE sensor 10, the strength of the acoustic waves are not attenuated, increasing the detection sensitivity. The presence or progress of production of tracking due to deterioration of an insulator can be accurately detected.</p> |
