The constant angular velocity (CAV) disk (80) player for extending the playback time includes; (a) a spindle motor (70) driving the CAV disk; (b) pick-up (90) for detecting the image RF signal recorded on CAV disk; (c) pick-up assistant part (100) supplying the control signal to the pick-up; (d) a demodulation circuit for detecting the frame synchronisation by counting the vertical synchronisation; (e) a comparator (300) comparing the frame synchronisation with preset synchronisation data; (f) a video/audio detection circuit (700) reading the original video/audio signals from the disk; (g) a video frame erasing circuit (600) for preventing the playback of unnecessary frames.
