PURPOSE:To improve motor efficiency by fixing a pair of piezoelectric substances to both sides of a stator and generating elastic progressive waves at the side faces. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic motor is constituted of a housing 1 by a base and a cover 3, a needle comprising a rotary shaft 5, a rotary ring 11, and a support 13, a fixed board 6 forming a stator, a small ball 12, a coupling plate 21, a disc spring 22, and others. And this fixed board 6 is fixed to a base 2, and piezoelectric substances are joined in the circular recesses on both sides of the board. Moreover, a driving part 6a, Which has comb teeth at the periphery, is formed at the periphery, and further a liner 14 is arranged between it and the rotary ring 11. When high frequency power is applied to the piezoelectric substance in this condition, elastic progressive waves occur at the driving part 6a of the fixed board 6 constituting the stator, accompanying the shrinkage deformation of the piezoelectric substance 7. |
