<p>PURPOSE:To allow a user or a repairer to simply set a head lamp in the vertical direction so as to facilitate the maintenance of the head lamp by providing a setting elevator part for adjusting the inclination of a floor at one end of a floor inclination setting level, and by providing an adjusting elevator part adapted to indicate a degree of adjusted inclination, at the other end thereof. CONSTITUTION:When the user or a repairer requires readjustment of vertical setting of a head lamp 1 which has been vertically set, an automobile is set on a suitable surface, and then it is observed through a floor inclination level 5. If the floor inclination level 5 does not indicate a horizontal condition, the adjusting a elevator part 5b is adjusted by means of a dial 5c so as to obtain a horizontal indication whose a gradation is then read. The value of the gradua tion indicated by the dial 5c gives a value of inclination of the surface on which the automobile is set, and accordingly, an inclination is compensated by setting the value of the graduation on a dial 6c of a setting level 6, and in this condi tion, an adjusting screw 3a is adjusted so as to allow the setting level 6 to give a horizontal indication. Thereby it is possible to make a vertical setting, irrespective of an inclined surface.</p> |
