An arrangement for mounting, on a roof gangway 1 or the like, a life-line unit of the type comprising an elongate running line 12 which can be secured at the ends by means of end attachments 15 and which, in the case of long running line lengths between the ends, is supported by intermediate support members 16, and a life-line which is coupled to the running line 12 by means of a runner arrangement and can run along the running line 12. The roof gangway 1 has two elongate profiles 2, 3 of essentially C-shaped cross section which are held at a distance from each other and which have their cross- sectional openings directed away from each other. Each end attachment 15 and each possible intermediate support member 16 can be secured to one of the profiles 3 with the aid of a first friction member 18, 19, 22 which can be displaced along the profile and can be fixed in any chosen position of displacement by frictional engagement with elements 10, 11 of the profile 3. Means 23 for transmitting tractive force are intended to be connected to each end attachment 15 and to extend from the latter to the second profile 2 in order to transmit tractive force from the end attachment 15 to the second profile 2. <IMAGE> |
