The appliance comprises a printing tool (10) with a housing (12), an electric heating device inside the housing and comprising a heating part and temperature regulating means, means for removably affixing a stamp in contact with the heating part at an open end of the housing, and a retractable tubular protective part (30) mounted at said end of the housing to surround the stamp. A detachable handle (50) has at one end a seat (54) provided with holding means (58, 59) for removably holding a stamp inside the seat so that the stamp can be affixed to the heating part or withdrawn from it by means of said handle. <IMAGE>
