The stimulator is housed in a round-ended capsule, which has a flexible plastic string (16) enabling it to be easily removed from the vagina or rectum. The housing consists of two similar parts (1, 2) which are threaded together (3) and sealed by an O-ring (4). On the outside of the lower part of the housing are two ring electrodes (5, 6) separated by an insulating ring (7). The capsule contains a battery (10), signal generator circuit (9) and potentiometers (15) which allow the pulse amplitude, frequency and repetition rate to be adjusted before use.
