PURPOSE:To make it possible to check also a hardware error by successively writing data whose period does not coincide with the prescribed bit of the lower address of a memory in respective addresses of the memory, reading out and computing the data and checking whether the data coincide with a regulated value or not to decide the validity of the memory. CONSTITUTION:When an operation value obtained by an arithmetic means 4 for reading out all the data of respective addresses written by a data writing means 3 for successively writing the odd-digit advance data whose period does not coincide with the prescribed bit of the lower address of the mounted read/ write memory 2 and computing the read data by a prescribed procedure coincides with a prescribed set value, a deciding means 5 decides the validity of the memory. Since respectively different data are written in all the addresses of the mounted memory and whether the data read out from the memory coincide with the regulated value or not is decided, the abnormality of the memory device can be detected. |
