The invention relates to the manufacture of ferritic stainless steel containing niobium.
<??>It relates to a method which comprises steps of casting ingots, of passing the ingots into a multi-pass roughing (blooming) mill (3) so as to form a strip, and of passage of the strip into a multi-pass finishing rolling mill (4), before continuous annealing and cold rolling; in the final passes of the roughing mill (3), the temperature lies between 900 and 950 DEG C and the thickness reduction obtained lies between 35 and 50% and, in the final pass in the finishing rolling mill (4), the temperature is less than 900 DEG C and the deformation is greater than 35%.
