<p>The method regulates the proportions of gas and liquid in a pump handling a mixture of several phases. A selected quantity of liquid is tapped off from a pipe (6) downstream of the pump (1), and the gas content of the liquid is determined at the pump inlet. Whenever this exceeds a predetermined value, the tapped-off liquid is delivered by a return pipe (9) back to the inlet again. The mixture can consist of products emerging from an oil well.</p> |
