The forklift truck hoisting chains (6) is actuated by-----hydraulic cylinder (1). To prevent the chains from striking against the hydraulic cylinder, its body is . protected by a shock absorbing bar (3). The bar is fastened to the cylinder body by a rivet (5), which attaches the bar to a strap (4) which passes around the cylinder body and is secured by a bolt. The shock absorbing bar reduces operating noise and protects the cylinder from damage. ADVANTAGE - Improved protection, and reduced noise.
