PURPOSE:To increase the number of branches and to increase the number of subscribers by making optical AM modulation signals by several channels from various light sources incident on plural coated optical fibers of an optical transmission line to transmit them. CONSTITUTION:At the time of transmission of 48 channels with a coated optical fiber tape (optical transmission line) 1 having 8 conductors 21, 22, 23 to 2n, optical AM modulation signals of every 6 channels are made incident on 8 coated optical fibers 21, 22, and 23 to 2n from 8 light sources 31, 32, 33 to 3n. Thus, the driving current per one channel is increased, and the optical power of each channels is increased and the allowable loss is increased, as well. |
