The combined sound and lighting device, for an internal or external space, has a loudspeaker (3) and a light source (4) housed in a common body, the radiation directions for the emitted sound and light pref. differing from one another. Pref. the light source (4) is enclosed by a rear reflector (5) supported at the top of the loudspeaker housing (2). The latter incorporates a reflex sleeve (9) with the air passed through the latter used to provide cooling for the light source (4). The combined housing may be mounted on a wall, or supported at the top of a free-standing post. ADVANTAGE - Incorporation of lighting without impairing sound quality.
