The rotary piston pump has two delivery ports, with one or another closable by a flexible diaphragm. The latter has a thick rim (1), which is connected to a reinforced central part (2) by an annular intermediate section (3). The intermediate section consists of two conical surfaces, which intersect to form a groove (4) on one side of the diaphragm, and a ridge on the opposite side. The central part can be deflected axially, from the position, in which one port is closed, to the position in which the other port is closed. ADVANTAGE - Reduced radial tensile forces.
