A milling cutter (1) for woodworking consists of a base body (2) which can be fixed via a hub (3) to a drive shaft (4). At its periphery, the base body (2) carries obliquely arranged cutters (5) with cutting edges (7, 8, 9). The cutters (5) protrude, at least at one end of the base body (2), axially beyond the latter, the protruding portions (6) being provided, in addition to the peripheral cutting edges (7) at the periphery of the milling cutter (1), on their inner sides facing the hub (3) with inner cutting edges (8) and on their end faces with end cutting edges (9). This milling cutter (1) can advantageously be used in an arrangement for debarking tree trunks (12), which has a rotating cutter block (22) with stripping cutters (23). In this arrangement, a milling cutter (1) is arranged for co-rotation on at least one end face of the cutter block (22). <IMAGE> |
