Correcting arterial blood pressure measurements - detecting dynamic characteristics or data of catheter measuring system in measuring process
摘要
A correction unit is applied for blood pressure measuring systems that work using a liq. filled catheter. The pressure curve (17) maintained by these systems is dynamically distorted due to their dynamic data. The correction unit (20, 21) applies pressure pulses on the catheter, e.g. by a wedge (27). The suppressed oscillation in the measuring system is picked up by evaluating electronics (21) and processed to derive correction values (28). The measuring signals (12) are affected by the correction signals to ensure that the signals (12') appearing at the output of the evaluation electronics correspond to the actual blood pressure. ADVANTAGE - Very simple and as universal as possible, i.e. independent of type of catheter used.
