<p>PURPOSE: To remove solid particles and toxic gases by providing the air filtering apparatus with an adsorption filtering layer, a physical filtering layer and a chemical filter constituted to induce an acid/base and base/acid reaction with the gases to be removed. CONSTITUTION: The adsorption filtering layer 1 formed by compressing active carbon particles, a prefiltering member 2 consisting of a foaming material or the like, for example, the chemical filtering layer 3 activated by NaOH and KOH and the physical filtering layer 4 for capturing fine granules, for example, the chemical filtering layer 5 consisting of an acidic filter layer activated by nitric acid or hydrochloric acid are disposed in the filtering apparatus 10. The solid particles of about >=0.4μin diameter may be removed from the inside of the air in this air filtering apparatus and the removal of the toxic gases ordinarily existing in the outer and internal environment of urban areas is made possible as well.</p> |
