The liq-compressed light-metal plunger piston, esp. made of aluminium, has an annular porous reinforcement lining (1) in the area of the annular groove. The reinforcement lining (1) is joined to the cooling-ring pipe (2) which is made of solid material, before a light metal bade material is poured in, fitting the pores of the porous reinforcement lining (1). The average dia. of the pores of the reinforcement lining (1) is between 3 and 200 mym. USE/ADVANTAGE - The reinforcement lining and the cooling ring pipe are joined best by a press fit.
